Emily Dietle is an avid reader, and feels that one of our most valuable tools is the free movement of information and ideas. In March (2012) she was featured in Maryam Namazie’s #Nude Photo Revolutionary calendar that made a bold statement about women’s rights and free-expression, and has written book reviews for the Friendly Atheist. Dan Arel is a physical anthropology undergraduate with a focus on paleoanthropology. He also enjoys research on cultural and sociological aspects of human societies. Dan enjoys writing about the religious war on evolution, debunking pseudoscience, secular education reform, the separation of church and state, and women and LGBT equality. Majoring in English, HypoChristi frequently writes about atheism and LGBTQ issues- being an out atheist and bisexual since 2007. She has a wide variety of interests and hobbies, including video games, fitness, Gensei-Ryu martial arts, and reading. Christi is a vegetarian and considers herself to be an animal rights activist (not be confused with zealot). She’s also a huge animal lover, with a soft spot for cats. Zach Lorentz is a founding member and the current Director of Public Affairs of the Secular Student Alliance at Missouri S&T. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Zach’s interests include sexual freedom, reproductive rights, LGBT equality, breaking through all forms of privilege, and advocating for proper scientific education and understanding. Former contributor Bridget Gaudette has a masters in public administration with a focus on nonprofit management and is using her education to advance secular ideals. Bridget’s interests are focused on women’s roles in the secular movement, equality rights, Black atheism and church/state separation. She has interned for Foundation Beyond Belief, helps with administrative work for United Coalition of Reason, and was a founder Secular Woman and FL state director of American Atheists.
