Who’s this Emily with all these books?
A native Texan, I head this website, writing on a variety of issues related to atheism, humanism, and skepticism. I’m an avid reader, and strive to spread awareness of these issues, online and in person. I may actually consume more coffee than books. Like many of my readers, I am a strong supporter of the freedom of speech, expression, and information; I feel that one of our most valuable tools is the free movement of information and ideas.
Previously on this site, I managed several regular content contributors–including author Dan Arel, activist Bridget Gaudette, and others. I have also welcomed notable guest contributors; Martin S. Pribble, Shelley Segal, Sylvia Broeckx, and Rory Fenton. Going forward, I will be commissioning guest contributions from specialists in fields I’m not skilled in. I will be able to achieve this goal with support from fans like you on Patreon.
Open Call for Contributors
Do you find yourself writing lengthy comments on news articles? Are you regularly ranting about the latest church-state violation, or raving about the latest death tolls caused by anti-vaxxers? You need an outlet & I’m welcoming contributors. Once I reach my contributor goal on Patreon, I will be seeking out writers for commissioned works in specialty fields–scientists, magicians, and theologians.
If you’re interested and suitable, briefly tell me about yourself and what you would be interested in writing about.
